Hi, I’m Thor
Thor F. Jensen (born Copenhagen 1981)
Thor F. Jensen is a Danish producer, adventurer, author and illustrator. He completed the world’s first circumnavigation of New Guinea by traditional sailing canoe, and has produced three award-winning adventure documentaries, written two books, and hosted a television series.
Now based in Darwin, Australia, he works across film, visual storytelling and environmental advocacy. Thor is a member of the Adventurers’ Club of Denmark.
Mission
I believe we all have the power to shape the world we live in and make it a better place. I do this through my adventures, speaks, environmental advocacy and by supporting Papua New Guineas very first canoe building school Pasana Group.
I feel adventure and travel is still very much stuck in the colonial mindset, I want to change this and have over the years developed the philosophy Redefining Adventure.
This means making adventure accessible and inclusive, centring the voices of other cultures and contributing to a higher purpose beyond the individual. Learn more:
